Job summary

Marble Group is seeking a maintenance technician to support reliability and performance of underground and surface mining equipment in North Queensland. You will perform planned maintenance, workshop duties and breakdown repairs in a safety-focused environment.

Role involves servicing heavy equipment, diagnosing faults, and working with OEM brands such as Sandvik, CAT, Normet and Elphinstone. FIFO from Cairns or Townsville with camp facilities and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on heavy equipment, earthmoving, agricultural or civil industries.
• Open cut or underground mining experience is highly regarded.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance.
• Component changeouts, mechanical fault finding and basic hydraulics.
• Working across OEM equipment including Sandvik, CAT, Normet and Elphinstone.

• FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, charter flights, accommodation and meals provided


• Structured 8:6 roster, 12-hour day and night shifts

The Role

Support the reliability and performance of underground and surface mining equipment through planned maintenance, workshop duties and breakdowns.
