Job summary

Marble Group is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support an underground drill fleet in North QLD. The role involves servicing and repairing rigs, diagnosing faults, and performing breakdown response within a safety-focused crew. FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, with an 8:6 roster, 12-hour shifts and camp facilities.

You will work across OEM brands such as Sandvik, Epiroc and Normet, ensuring high uptime and adherence to safety standards in a large mining operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment, earthmoving, or mining gear.
• Strong commitment to safety and working in a crew.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnosing and repair of underground drill rigs and related gear.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance on drills.
• Execute component changes and hydraulic repairs across OEM brands.
• Support fleet uptime through planned servicing and workshop tasks.

The Role

Support the reliability and performance of the underground drill fleet through servicing, workshop duties and breakdown response.

• Servicing, diagnosing and repairing underground drill rigs (Jumbos, Cablebolters and related equipment)
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance on drills
• Component changeouts, mechanical fault finding and hydraulics on drilling equipment
• Working across OEM drill brands including Sandvik, Epiroc and Normet
• Supporting fleet uptime through scheduled servicing and workshop repairs

• FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, short transfer from airport to camp

Your Skills & Experience

• Proven experience on heavy equipment, earthmoving, agricultural or civil
• Underground drill or mining equipment experience highly regarded
• Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and police clearance
