Job summary

SA Health in Adelaide is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale, service-wide projects that support strategic priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes. You will oversee planning, budgets, stakeholder engagement and delivery, ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets while mentoring junior staff.

The role reports to the Senior Project Manager within the PMO and focuses on governance, risk management and change delivery to improve patient care across SALHN.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Sound knowledge of governance, risk management and quality improvement in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and evaluation of large-scale, service-wide projects that support SALHN’s strategic priorities and improve organisational outcomes.
• Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, monitor risks and performance, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Build strong stakeholder partnerships and lead change management initiatives, collaborating with consumers, clinicians, executives and external partners.
• Drive project success through benefits realisation, continuous improvement and a collaborative team culture, while mentoring and supporting the development of project staff.
