Doctors’ Health Fund, part of the Avant Group, is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Sydney. You will drive growth by building partnerships, expanding referral networks and unlocking opportunities across Australia’s healthcare sector.

This role blends relationship management with strategic thinking, working across the Fund and Avant to activate channels, enhance lead conversion and support the organisation’s growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or sales with a track record of targets.
• Knowledge of private health insurance or healthcare sectors.
• Ability to build credible relationships with hospitals, practices, and partners.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Data-informed approach using market insights to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership growth through Avant’s BDM network and own activity.
• Identify and pursue new business, partnership and referral opportunities across medical and healthcare.
• Build strong relationships with hospitals, medical practices, allied health providers and key partners.
• Equip Avant’s BDM network with tools, messaging and knowledge to refer Doctors’ Health Fund opportunities.
• Develop and improve referral pathways, sales tools and processes to increase lead quality and conversion.
• Partner with Marketing to deliver campaigns, training and sales enablement initiatives.
• Represent Doctors’ Health Fund at industry events, conferences and forums.
• Use market insights and performance data to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
• Work with sales, marketing, call centre and Avant teams to improve lead management and member experience.
• Ensure activities comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
