Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking a Data Analyst at Prince of Wales Hospital to transform complex health data into actionable insights. You will build reports, dashboards, and data products to support organisational performance, costing and funding decisions.

You will work with clinicians and managers to ensure data quality and deliver timely analysis for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across services.

Qualifications

• Highly developed analytical and numerical skills to interpret complex information.
• Proficient in Excel and Access, SQL Server; able to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience in written analytics, reporting and presenting for senior management.
• Experience in data quality and improvement practices to ensure integrity.
• Self-directed with ability to manage heavy workload to deadlines.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive data/IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex data and link databases to deliver high-quality information.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and business cases for decision support.
• Engage clinicians and managers to translate health data into insights.
• Contribute to data quality improvement and risk management activities.
• Provide timely analysis to support Finance Director, Manager, PMIU and Senior Data Analyst.
