Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking a Data & Insights Analyst to generate customer, commercial and product insights for health insurance strategies. You will apply data analytics to understand problems, develop hypotheses and deliver data-driven recommendations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in analytics, strong SQL, Python/R skills, experience with Power BI/Tableau and cloud data platforms, plus solid Excel and presentation abilities. Sydney-based role with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a data and analytics related role.
• Tertiary qualification in analytics, science, business/economics, CS or related discipline.
• Programming in SQL required; also R, Python and/or SAS.
• Visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to craft presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop insights and recommendations via data sourcing, preparation, analysis design and visualisation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate commercial imperatives into data-driven approaches.
• Promote a data-driven mindset within Domestic Retail, International, Corporate Portfolio and Delivery Hub teams.
• Deliver ad-hoc analytic requests to support product development and customer experiences.
• Strengthen technical capabilities of the analytics function.
• Maintain awareness of industry, market, and regulatory developments in Health Insurance.
