Job summary

The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Financial Performance Analyst to support the department's strategic financial investment in Victoria's health system and to act as the interface between the department and health services.

You will examine high-risk service finances, develop and deliver strategic reports, conduct detailed analysis, interpret financial statements for insights, and assist with briefings and data quality across systems.

Qualifications

• Provide analytics on health services financial performance and present complex information to executives and decision makers.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide financial input into PAEC and PPQ briefings.
• Quarterly review of health services performance against financial measures.
• Support presentations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver strategic financial investment in Victoria's health system.
• Examine high-risk health services financial information and identify impacts.
• Develop and deliver strategic business and operational reports.
• Interpret financial statements to extract insights and inform decisions.
• Coordinate briefings and financial and policy inputs; maintain data quality across systems.
