Job summary

Knox City Council is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Partner to shape and embed new partnering approaches with leaders and teams across the Council. You will provide practical advice on health, safety and wellbeing, supporting managers and staff to integrate safety into everyday decisions and work practices.

The role is part of the People, Culture & Development team, reporting to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist, with a focus on child safety, injury management and return to work

Qualifications

• Cert 4, degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience providing operational OHS advice in a multidisciplinary organisation.
• Experience coaching leaders to manage risk and improve safety performance.
• Ability to work independently across departments and follow through on tasks.
• Experience in contractor safety management and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and informed OHS advice and support across the council.
• Coach and influence leaders to embed health and safety in daily decisions.
• Support child safety, injury management and return to work processes.
• Deliver clear reports and training to stakeholders; maintain records.
• Collaborate with HSW and PCD teams to coordinate safety across services.
