Job summary

Woollahra Council is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join the People, Safety and Performance team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will assess risks, perform audits and investigations, support wellbeing initiatives, and help embed a safety-first culture across diverse operations. Based at the Alexandria Depot with field support, regular collaboration with managers is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Work Health and Safety with demonstrated relevant experience.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management methodologies.
• Experience in incident investigations and worker wellbeing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical WHS advice across operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and workplace audits.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to safety-system improvements and reporting.
• Promote a positive safety culture and wellbeing initiatives.
