Job summary

The Craig Mostyn Group is a leading Australian food and agribusiness company. We seek a Health & Safety Advisor to join the Linley Valley Pork division in Western Australia on a full-time basis.

You will support implementation of safety standards, provide practical safety advice to managers and workers, and help maintain a safe workplace. The role requires a WHS qualification or equivalent, strong communication skills, and experience in an operational environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant WHS qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in a health and safety role within an operational environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with managers, supervisors and workers.
• Sound computer literacy, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and experience using health and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of, and compliance with, CMG Health & Safety standards, including Fatal Risk Standards and critical controls.
• Provide practical health and safety advice and support to managers, supervisors and workers.
• Identify health and safety risks, patterns and trends, and recommend practical controls and improvement actions.
• Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are identified, assigned and closed out.
• Develop, review and maintain site risk assessments, procedures and supporting health and safety documentation.
• Coordinate and deliver health and safety training, communication and awareness activities.
• Support site-based injury management and return-to-work activities in collaboration with the Injury Management Advisor.
• Participate in audits, inspections and other assurance activities.
• Work collaboratively with the Group Safety Manager and other CMG Safety Advisors to share learnings and support consistent practice.

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Work Health and Safety or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in a health and safety role within an operational environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors and workers.
• Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and experience using health and safety systems.

Desirable Skills

• Auditing training or demonstrated auditing experience.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Formal incident investigation training, such as ICAM or equivalent.
