Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology seeks an enthusiastic Health Professional (Scientific Officer) to join our Haematology Department at Macquarie Park. This full-time evening shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm) includes Saturday roster and opportunities to work with flow cytometry and haematology testing.

You will perform diagnostic testing, maintain equipment, ensure quality standards, and contribute to process improvements in a learning and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a Medical Science Degree or recognised AIMS equivalent.
• Experience with Flow Cytometry in Haematology is essential.
• Strong communication with key stakeholders.
• Able to work evenings and participate in Saturday roster.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic Health Professional (Scientific Officer) to join our dynamic Haematology Department at Macquarie Park.

This is a full-time evening shift position, working 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with participation in the Saturday roster.

You will be an integral member of our Haematology team. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in Flow Cytometry, with experience in other areas of Haematology considered highly desirable. Your responsibilities will include

• Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results regarding haematology, morphology and flow cytology
• Conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure quality compliance and standards meet regulatory framework
