Job summary

St John of God Warrnambool Hospital is seeking a motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You will manage and secure patient health information, ensuring accurate records to support high-quality care, with a Wednesday and Friday, six-hour-per-day schedule and potential for extra admin hours.

Experience in healthcare administration and exposure to patient information systems is valued, along with strong keyboard/data entry skills and excellent

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or clerical role with accurate keyboard, computer and data entry skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a healthcare environment and exposure to patient administration systems is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support the management, maintenance and security of patient health information.
• Ensure records are accurately maintained and readily available to support quality patient care.
• Be available for fixed schedule: Wednesdays and Fridays, six hours per day with a 30-minute lunch break, with potential for additional administrative hours.
