Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Brisbane is seeking a Health Information Manager to support cancer registry operations, clinical coding and projects that improve cancer services across Queensland. You will provide expert ICD-10-AM coding advice, support accurate reporting and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data collection and information systems.

You will mentor and support less experienced coders while contributing to service improvement initiatives, with a focus on data

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-AM, medical terminology and clinical classification.
• Experience with databases, health information systems and Microsoft applications
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical coding advice and interpret complex cases using ICD-10-AM
• Support accurate cancer reporting, staging and registry data quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data collection, reporting and information systems
