Glencore is seeking a Health, Safety & Training professional for its Hail Creek operation in Queensland. You will coordinate health promotions, oversee the Occupational Health Monitoring Program, Injury Management and Return to Work processes, and the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme for employees and contractors.
The role requires a relevant allied health degree with APHRA/ESSA registration, a current driver's licence, and a Rehab/RTW certificate.

Joining our Health, Safety & Training team, you will report directly to the Health & Safety Superintendent, playing a pivotal role in fostering a proactive health culture within our operation. Utilising your experience and dedication, you will coordinate health promotions effectively and oversee key programs such as the Occupational Health Monitoring Program, Injury Management and Rehabilitation/Return to Work processes, and the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme for all employees and contractors.
Your meticulous record-keeping skills and attention to detail will be essential in meeting both statutory and corporate obligations. Building strong working relationships will be crucial, and you will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, initiative, and a proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This role is a wonderful opportunity for you no matter your circumstance. You will have the option to either live locally in one of the communities that surround our operation or stay on site in our amazing village. We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
