Job summary

Shangri-La Hotels in Sydney seeks a Health Club Attendant to warmly greet guests, explain facilities, and maintain a pristine health club environment. You will perform complimentary fitness tests and assist with tours, while upselling personal training sessions to members for an additional fee.

You will lead circuit-style group sessions, support reservation bookings, and help convert leads into members, contributing to a welcoming and safe health club atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or fitness qualifications are preferable.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in health or hospitality industries.
• Motivator and self-starter mindset required.
• Understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
• CPR and First Aid certificates are advantageous.
• Must be able to commit to minimum 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests and members within the Health Club Facilities.
• Explain facilities to guests and assist with tours and information.
• Carry out general cleaning of locker rooms, wet areas, gym, poolside, and towels to/from Laundry.
• Conduct complimentary fitness tests for members.
• Offer and upsell personal training sessions to members for a fee.
• Lead a group circuit fitness session and make it engaging.
• Convert leads to members; target ratio 1 in 3 leads.
• Take reservations for services, lessons, and activities.
• Assist the Director of Spa and Wellness in gaining corporate memberships.
