Shangri-La Sydney is seeking a dedicated Public Area Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel's public spaces, ensuring luxury standards are reflected in every area.

You will join a collaborative Housekeeping team, handling tasks across lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and event spaces while upholding safety and brand guidelines. Experience in hospitality is preferred, and flexibility to work weekends and shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar role within hospitality preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lifts, function spaces, and employee areas.
• Ensure all public spaces are presented to the highest standards at all times.
• Replenish amenities and supplies in public restrooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping service requirements.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and lost property in a timely manner.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning schedules.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and hotel brand standards.
• Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other operational departments.

About the Role

As an integral part of our Housekeeping team, you will ensure that all guest and employee areas reflect the highest standards of luxury, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lifts, function spaces, and employee areas.
