Job summary

St Columba’s College is seeking a passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher who can also teach IT, to empower young women to think critically and connect with the world. This fixed term full-time role for 2027 will cover Year 12 PE, Year 10 Sports Science, Year 8 PE, Year 9 Programming and Year 8 Robotics.

You will deliver engaging HPE learning experiences, differentiate lessons, and collaborate on curriculum development within a faith-based school community that values compassion,

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Health and Physical Education Teacher with the ability to teach IT to join our learning community. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who can inspire students to develop their understanding of health, wellbeing and physical activity, while fostering confidence, teamwork and lifelong healthy habits.

This is a fixed term full time position for 2027. The classes will include:

• Year 12 PE
• Year 10 Sports Science
• 2x Year 8 PE
• Year 9 Programming
• Year 8 Robotics

• Develop students’ knowledge, skills and confidence through purposeful learning, practical activities and a range of physical experiences.
• Plan and deliver differentiated learning that challenges and supports students to achieve their potential.
• Contribute collaboratively to curriculum development, assessment and the ongoing improvement of the learning area.

• Appropriate teaching qualifications and current VIT registration, with relevant Health and Physical Education teaching experience.
