Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a Head Teacher Technological and Applied Studies at Gunnedah High School in Regional NSW. The role leads TAS curriculum delivery, staff development, and whole-school initiatives aligned with the School Excellence Plan.

The position is based at Gunnedah High School with strong emphasis on Aboriginal Education principles, inclusive teaching, and community partnerships. Applicants must hold NSW teaching accreditation; permanent part-time or full-time options

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead and implement whole-school initiatives that drive the School Excellence Plan.
Develop and support staff through targeted professional learning and evidence-based reflective teaching practices.
Lead design and implementation of innovative, engaging and differentiated teaching and learning programs for all students, including high-potential learners.
Strong understanding of TAS education with a focus on Aboriginal Education principles.
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare to lead inclusive teaching and learning programs.
Educational leadership to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
