Job summary

Hastings Secondary College Port Macquarie Campus is seeking a Head Teacher Special Education to lead inclusive learning programs for students with diverse needs. The role focuses on coordinating support for Mild to Moderate Intellectual Abilities and Autism, and on developing Individual Education Plans in partnership with families and staff.

The successful candidate will drive curriculum alignment, oversee eight supported learning classes, and balance teaching with leadership responsibilities

Qualifications

• Approval to teach and demonstrate successful experience with Mild or Moderate Intellectual Ability, Autism and Complex Learning needs.
• Enthusiastic, proactive leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead collaborative development of Individual Education Plans to support diverse student needs.
• Capacity to establish inclusive learning environments and resource accessible spaces in line with policy.
