Job summary

RACV City Club is seeking an experienced Chief Steward to lead the stewarding team and support operations across our kitchen. You will develop Kitchen Attendants, oversee rostering, stock, equipment and cost control while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Collaborate with the kitchen brigade and other departments to ensure guests consistently receive a high standard of service and a positive working environment in a 7‑day operation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading stewarding in a high‑end hotel or similar operation.
• Proven ability to train and develop team members.
• Knowledge of rostering, labour management and budgeting.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of safety, hygiene and AS/NZS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day stewarding operations and support kitchen flow.
• Develop Kitchen Attendants; manage rostering, stock and equipment.
• Oversee cleaning schedules, cost control and efficiencies.
• Maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards across kitchen.
• Collaborate with kitchen and other departments to ensure service.
• Lead a busy operation across a 7‑day schedule including weekends.
