Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a strategic leader to head the Value Management Office within the Technology, Digital and Data division. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, portfolio health, and realised benefits, guiding a team of 5 direct reports and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Extensive background leading a VMO, PMO, or large portfolio function at enterprise scale.
• Proven track record in investment governance and portfolio financials.
• Experience with modern agile ways of working and balancing change with stability.
• Strategic thinker who translates strategy into executable plans and guides senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle and investment gating for funded delivery.
• Lead and develop the four VMO Heads across portfolio, program & project delivery, delivery insights, and delivery operations.
• Own portfolio financials, capacity, and cross-charging while managing gates and stage reviews.
• Provide a consolidated view of portfolio reporting, insights and benefits to the SLT.
• Set and uplift delivery standards and governance tooling across squads and practices.
• Cost the VMO delivery and portfolio layer against target SPA FTE requirements.
• Act as a change agent to drive demand in hybrid delivery models and agile ways of working.
