Job summary

The Rivers Secondary College Richmond River High Campus is seeking a Head Teacher for Technological and Applied Studies in Lismore, NSW. This senior role leads TAS subjects, designs high-quality programs and supports staff development within a community-focused high school.

The position requires full NSW teaching approval, strong leadership and a commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive education for diverse learners. WWCC clearance is also expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise staff across Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) subjects.
• Ability to design and deliver quality inclusive teaching programs.
• Educational leadership to build capacity and manage performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage staff, students and parents.
• Plan and manage resources to support teaching and learning.
• Commitment to Aboriginal education policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise TAS staff including Industrial Technology, Agriculture, Textiles, iSTEM and other related courses.
• Foster positive relationships and continuous improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with the executive team on whole-school initiatives and strategic goals.
• Apply trauma-informed practices to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
