Sharp & Carter is representing a fast-scaling FMCG manufacturer seeking a Head of Supply Chain on the Gold Coast. You will own end-to-end supply chain from procurement to logistics, and build a scalable function to support rapid growth.

You'll lead a cross-functional team, establish rigorous S&OP processes, manage global supplier networks, and partner with site leadership. The role offers relocation support for the right candidate and a path to shape the function from the ground up.

The Organisation

Our client is a fast-scaling, private equity-backed FMCG manufacturer, operating one of the country's most advanced facilities in an exciting, fast-growing corner of the FMCG landscape. The business spans both contract manufacturing and global ingredient supply, and is entering a significant growth phase - underpinned by a number of major distribution, manufacturing and supply agreements now in place, alongside a fast-growing product pipeline.

Founded by an industry leader with a proven track record of building and scaling businesses, the business is now investing heavily in its next phase - including the systems, structure and leadership needed to support it. This newly created Head of Supply Chain role sits at the centre of that investment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager and engaging closely with the leadership team, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Building a scalable, efficient supply chain function that supports the business now and into the future, underpinned by clear systems and processes, and by coaching the team to ensure adoption
• Owning sourcing and procurement across an extensive global supplier network, spanning multiple ingredients and lead times
• Leading demand and supply planning to keep production aligned with capacity
• Building and embedding a fit-for-purpose S&OP process, driving cross-functional engagement, process discipline and consistent execution
• Ensuring rigorous ingredient testing, release and compliance standards are maintained in close partnership with the Quality Manager
• Establishing robust supplier audit and governance processes
• Owning freight and logistics strategy, including cold chain requirements where relevant
• Building, leading and developing a team across procurement, planning and logistics
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the group - particularly production and site - as well as with international suppliers
• Representing supply chain at leadership team level, contributing to decisions beyond the function

To Be Successful

To be successful, you'll bring proven experience leading end-to-end supply chain - procurement, planning and logistics - including complex, multi-supplier sourcing. You'll have demonstrated capability building and scaling a supply chain function from the ground up: systems, process, structure and governance, not solely running an existing one.

A background in food, FMCG, dairy or nutritionals is highly relevant; specific regulatory experience is not required. Exposure to live or highly perishable ingredient categories is an advantage, though not essential.

Beyond the technical grounding, you'll bring strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence effectively across functions and at leadership level. You'll have high EQ - someone who listens, reads the room, and builds trust through collaboration - and you'll be curious and agile, comfortable operating amid a lot of moving parts in a still-maturing environment.
