Job summary

Pacific International Insurance seeks a commercially astute Head of Business Development to own Australia’s strategic BD pipeline, converting opportunities into long-term premium growth for the Group. Reporting to the C-suite, you will lead pitches, set premium targets, and manage the BD-to-partnership handover while representing Pacific at industry events from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

You will bring senior BD leadership, deep insurance expertise, and an established network to drive growth

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in BD, sales or partnerships in general insurance.
• Strong knowledge in pet or travel insurance.
• Proven ability to build and close a BD pipeline.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation with C-suite.
• Ability to model financial potential of partnerships.
• Established industry network.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage high-priority partner opportunities.
• Own strategic BD plan for acquisition and growth.
• Set targets for new business and premiums.
• Develop pitch decks and commercial terms.
• Support tender responses with underwriting and finance.
• Represent Pacific at industry events.
• Coordinate handover from BD to account management.
• Share market insights with product and underwriting.
