Job summary

Join Macquarie Technology Group as the Head of Service Delivery, leading our operations team in Sydney. In this key role, you will manage project portfolios while focusing on customer experience and team development. Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in Service Management, Project Management, and Business Operational roles.
• 10+ years proven experience in customer-facing roles delivering sizable projects.
• Strong experience in managing a portfolio of projects with full financial responsibility.
• Prince 2 Certification or similar project management qualifications.
• Desirable to hold AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.

We believe that collaboration & team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days in our CBD offices & the remaining working from home.

We require security clearance for this role, you must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

The Opportunity

Macquarie Government is a division of Macquarie Technology Group, specialising in providing secure, sovereign cloud and cybersecurity services tailored to protecting Australian government agencies and Australians. As the Head of Service Delivery, you will be part of our high-performing operations team. We are focused on exceeding our customers’ expectations in terms of security, uptime, scalability, expert engineering knowledge, and superior customer service.

The Operations team is the backbone of service delivery for our government customers. We are responsible for delivering, monitoring, maintaining, and optimising the infrastructure and services that support mission-critical government functions. Our focus is on security, reliability and rapid response, Macquarie making sure systems are available, issues are resolved quickly, and compliance standards are always met.

We keep things running smoothly so agencies can focus on their mission.

In this role, you will be accountable for managing our active project portfolio with a strong focus on accelerating revenue and benefit realisation. You will also provide leadership to guide and develop the team, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our customers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with the Sales team to maintain a forecast position on projects in the sales pipeline.
• Manage the transition from sales to delivery, ensuring commercially successful outcomes.
• Work with Operations Leaders to prioritise key projects of work.
• Build an engaged and high performing team.
• Work with your team members to develop their skills and to create career progression opportunities.
• Effectively manage the performance of all team members.
• Ensure we always deliver a great customer experience.
  
  

Experience And Skills Required

• 8+ years’ experience in an ICT industry Service Management, Project Management and Business Operational roles; ideally with experience working for a Systems Integrator or Managed Services Provider.
• 10+ years of proven experience in customer-facing roles where you have delivered sizable projects.
• Must be an Australian citizen as this role requires security clearance.
• 10+ years of experience in managing a portfolio of projects and leading multiple streams with full financial responsibility.
• Strong experience across all aspects of contract and commercial management.
• Strong financial acumen - including forecasting, budgeting and analysis skills.
• Working experience with Cloud migrations, Network integration, and Cyber Security Operations.
• Prince 2 Certified (or similar project management qualifications).
• Bachelor (or higher) degree in computing science, information technology or related field.
• Desirable to hold AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
