Job summary

Sendsory Ltd is seeking a Head of Provision to lead the day-to-day operations of a specialist SEMH provision. You will oversee staff, curriculum delivery, safeguarding and site operations to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed education for pupils with SEND.

The role requires safeguarding expertise, experience as a DSL or ability to undertake the role, and a strong focus on pupil progress, well-being and partnership with families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a team within education, SEND, specialist or alternative provision.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Understanding of SEND, adaptive teaching, EHCPs and pupil progress monitoring.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
• Proficiency in trauma-informed, attachment-aware and relational approaches.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily running of the provision, managing staff, timetabling, resources and systems.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, adaptive teaching, pupil progress and EHCP outcomes.
• Conduct learning walks, QA snapshots and evidence in NurturED Hub.
