Job description

We’re seeking a private health insurance leader to turn complex regulatory, product and data challenges into remediation outcomes that are fair, defensible and work in practice. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and shape decisions that directly affect our members.

About the opportunity

The Head of Remediation Solutions is a senior leadership role that owns solution design end to end across CBHS’s remediation program, starting with the International Remediation Program. You’ll define impacted populations, determine the remediation required and shape how approved outcomes are delivered.

You’ll bring together specialists across data, product, methodology, treatment, process, systems, communications, change and training to build controlled, scalable solutions that are ready to deliver. As a member of CBHS’s Restore remediation leadership team, you’ll help set remediation strategy.

This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a view to permanency.

What you’ll make happen
  • Set the direction for remediation solution design across multiple workstreams.
  • Lead the identification of impacted member populations and the data analysis underpinning accurate delivery.
  • Develop methodologies, treatment plans and processes for complex historical and non-standard scenarios.
  • Oversee International product management, using your industry expertise to embed legislation, fund rules, product settings and governance requirements into every solution.
  • Turn approved decisions into clear business rules, processes, system requirements and executable treatment approaches, including owning solution requirements for the case management system.
  • Align communications, change and training so solutions are operationally ready and consistently applied.
  • Influence executive and governance forums with clear advice on direction, trade-offs, dependencies, risks and decisions.
  • Build specialist capability and strengthen remediation, product governance and solution design across CBHS.
About you

You’re an experienced leader who is comfortable working where regulation, data, product and member outcomes intersect. You ask the right questions, bring clarity to ambiguity and build alignment across business, technical and operational teams.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant senior experience in private health insurance across product, membership, claims, benefits and fund rules.
  • Strong track record leading solution design, remediation design or similar problem-solving in a regulated environment.
  • Deep knowledge of private health insurance legislation and governance requirements, with the judgement to apply them to member remediation.
  • Experience overseeing population analysis, methodology and process design.
  • Ability to convert decisions into clear, controlled and executable solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior forums.
  • Proven success leading and developing specialist teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, health, finance, law or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience with International health cover, including Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and Overseas Visitors Health Cover (OVHC), or with remediation involving complex member populations, product settings or historical data, will set you apart.
  • A relevant product, governance, risk, change or remediation qualification or professional membership is also highly regarded.
Why you’ll like working here

At CBHS, you’ll be part of a collaborative, purpose-led organisation where your contribution is valued. We offer the flexibility, support and opportunities to help you do your best work and continue developing your career.

What you can look forward to:

  • Flexibility that works: Hybrid working arrangements that balance time in the office with working from home.
  • More time to recharge: Enjoy five weeks’ annual leave.
  • A great start to your day: Free breakfast and snacks in the office.
  • Support to keep growing: Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  • Broader business exposure: Work with teams across claims, finance, product, risk, compliance and data.
