Job summary

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a General Manager, Strategic Regulation, for a permanent, hybrid role. The position leads policy development, risk management, and regulatory initiatives, guiding resources to ensure services meet budgets and legislative constraints.

Applicants will deliver high level submissions to the Commission and stay abreast of national and international developments affecting regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Providing high level advice to senior stakeholders to support strategic direction in policy, risk management and regulatory initiatives.
• Leading and managing human and physical resources to ensure services are delivered within budgetary and regulatory constraints.
• Delivering and presenting high level submissions and proposals to the Commission.
• Identifying input on proposed policy changes relating to gaming and wagering regulation.
• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of State, National and International developments relating to regulated industries.
