Woolworths Group in New South Wales is seeking a Head of Procurement – Technology & Digital to lead end-to-end sourcing across IT hardware, cloud, software and services, reporting to the Group Procurement Director.

Qualifications

• Senior procurement leader with experience managing large technology portfolios.

In this strategic role, you will lead a team of ~10 procurement professionals managing an approximate annual spend of $2 billion across Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) Technology, Digital, and related Services portfolios.In this high-impact role, you will champion end-to-end category strategies across Capex and Opex expenditure, influencing spend on IT hardware, infrastructure, cloud/software (on-premise and SaaS), telco, and store/DC technologies. You will also oversee managed services contracts and work on the cutting edge of AI, computer vision, and frontier lab solutions.In this role, you will be responsible for:* Leading the end-to-end delivery of visionary sourcing and category strategies across the Technology, Digital, and Services spectrum.* Leveraging Woolworths’ Category Management Framework and cross-functional squads to drive optimal commercial, sustainability, and risk management outcomes.* Inspiring and developing a high-performing procurement team while embedding an agile, growth-oriented, and compliant culture.* Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external global vendors to drive continuous improvement, procurement transformation, and AI innovation.## What you’ll bringAn established procurement leader with a track record across large-scale, complex technology portfolios, you bring strategic expertise and executive stakeholder presence to drive transformational impact.* Seniority & Experience: Proven experience operating at a senior leadership level (Executive Manager, VP, Director, or equivalent) managing large-scale spend, with international or multi-industry experience highly valued.* Domain Expertise: Deep specialist knowledge in IT infrastructure, SaaS/software, telecommunications, IT services, and contracting for emerging technologies such as embedded AI.* Key Attributes & Mindset: High emotional intelligence (EQ) and adaptability (AQ), with exceptional negotiation skills and a strong ability to navigate complex matrix environments.* Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or a related field, with professional accreditations (e.g., MCIPS) highly regarded.## What you’ll experience* A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network* Access to Sonder.
