Job summary

Macquarie Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced professional to lead Platform Operations governance and controls during a period of transformation on a 12-month contract. You will strengthen QA, risk management and regulatory reporting across the business.

The role requires designing and implementing control frameworks, guiding teams, and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical processes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in governance, operational risk, controls, quality assurance, compliance, audit, financial crime operations or a related discipline within financial services.
• Demonstrated experience designing, leading or improving governance and control frameworks in a complex regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of control design, testing, monitoring, issue management, remediation governance and evidence standards.
• Experience supporting regulated operational processes, including KYC, AML, client onboarding or ongoing client due diligence activities.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, influence senior stakeholders and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical processes and controls.

Our Commodities and Global Markets Client Services team supports effective and compliant client operations across a global business. We lead governance, quality assurance and operational controls to help manage risk, meet regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement. This is a 12-month contract to lead business as usual activities during period of transformation.

What role will you play?

In this role you will lead the Platform Operations governance and controls capability, with a focus on strengthening quality assurance, operational controls and risk management frameworks.
