Job summary

Sitemate is rebuilding its People Operations for the AI era. This Director role leads end-to-end global People Ops, payroll, talent acquisition, and programs, guiding two senior teammates and ensuring scalable, automated processes. You’ll craft playbooks, deploy AI agents, and empower managers to run cycles 24/7.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in People Operations or HR.
• Systems thinking and automation experience.
• Hands-on automation or AI agent building.
• Payroll and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Writing frameworks and playbooks for teams.
• Experience with people analytics and engagement measurement.
• Employee relations casework experience.
• Nice to have growth-stage scale-up experience.

Responsibilities

• Personally build HRIS, ATS, automation or AI agent workflows.
• Design how Rippling, Remote and Ashby work together with agents.
• Write and maintain frameworks and playbooks for managers.
• Own calibration, promotion and exit decisions across the function.
• Coach the team and set direction and standards.
• Handle complex employee relations with Legal and Compliance.
• Lead the design of the next version of People Operations.
