Job summary

The Illawarra Women’s Trauma Recovery Centre invites a senior leader to join as Head of Operations, shaping the next phase of growth alongside the CEO, Board and Leadership Team.

You will unite People & Culture, quality, compliance, WHS and sustainability, strengthening systems, risk management, funding partnerships and organisational resilience to advance trauma‑informed services for women.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across operations, P&C, quality, compliance and WHS.
• Experience growing and changing organisations within social services or not‑for‑profit sectors.
• Generalist P&C capability and employee relations experience.
• Exposure to quality frameworks, accreditation and continuous improvement.
• Financial acumen and understanding of organisational sustainability.
• Support for feminist, trauma‑informed and social justice principles.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across corporate and operational functions.
• Lead People & Culture, workforce planning, employee relations, performance and compliance.
• Oversee quality, accreditation, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen WHS and risk frameworks, including psychosocial safety and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with CEO and Board to strengthen financial resilience and partnerships.
