Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an exceptional Head of Operational Transformation to drive strategic improvement initiatives across our operations maintenance business in NSW. You will lead transformation, leverage AI-enabled solutions, and deliver measurable financial outcomes through data-driven decision making.

Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and key client stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities, build compelling business cases, and lead the implementation of high-value initiatives that improve productivity, customer outcomes, quality, and profitability.

• Build robust business cases supported by financial modelling, quantified benefits, and clear implementation pathways.
• Drive operational excellence through productivity improvement, cost optimisation, quality enhancement, and customer experience uplift.
• Lead cross-functional transformation programs from concept through to benefit realisation.
• Leverage AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies to improve operational performance and decision‑making.
• Create executive dashboards and real‑time reporting that provide meaningful business insights.
• Partner closely with senior leaders and clients to align priorities, secure buy‑in, and deliver sustainable outcomes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and execution excellence.

What We're Looking For

You’ll be recognised as a transformation leader who thrives on solving complex operational challenges and turning strategy into results.

Essential Experience

• Senior leadership experience within telecommunications, utilities, infrastructure, field services, or similarly complex operational environments.
• Demonstrated success delivering large‑scale transformation, operational improvement, and business performance initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen, financial modelling, and business case development capability.
• Experience leading cross‑functional programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Executive presence with proven capability engaging both frontline teams and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Highly Regarded Experience working with NBN or major telecommunications clients.
• Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Change Management, or Project Management certifications.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, automation platforms, or AI‑enabled solutions.
• Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline.
