Auto & General is seeking an experienced Head of FP&A to lead the Corporate Finance team in Toowong. You will drive strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, delivering insights to the executive team and business leads.

The role emphasises building scalable reporting, KPI dashboards, and partnering with senior leaders to optimise financial performance and growth. Strong Excel, TM1 and Power BI skills are essential.

The position

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Corporate Finance team. This pivotal leadership role will drive Auto & General's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing critical insights to our Executive Leadership Team and business unit leaders. Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of FP&A, you will:

• Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Drive the development and execution of annual planning and forecasting processes, continuously improving methodologies and tools for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide Strategic Insight: Offer expert financial advice and strategic recommendations to the CFO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team on business performance, investment opportunities, and risk mitigation.
• Drive Performance Management: Develop and implement comprehensive financial and operational performance reporting frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and insightful variance analysis.
• Be a Trusted Business Partner: Act as a strategic financial advisor to Executive Leaders and functional heads, providing commercial insights and challenging assumptions to optimise financial outcomes.
• Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Mentor and develop a team of high-calibre FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
• Enhance Processes & Systems: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate FP&A processes, leveraging financial planning software (e.g., TM1) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Technologically Proficient: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, alongside experience with financial planning software.
• Unquestionable Integrity: A strong ethical compass and professional integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role managing a team.
• Demonstrated experience within the general insurance or broader financial services industry is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing robust financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Extensive experience with advanced financial modelling and data analysis techniques.
• Experience operating within a complex, multi-entity organisation.
