WA Country Health Service in Western Australia is seeking a senior financial accountant who will manage, plan and lead the financial accounting functions across the organisation, providing expert accounting services and strategic financial commentary to stakeholders.

This permanent full-time appointment requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and experience with large integrated financial systems.

Formación

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary accounting practices and standards including experience in the preparation of financial statements and management reports using large integrated computerised financial systems.
• Senior level experience in formulating, implementing and monitoring financial policy and planning in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management and governance.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.

Responsabilidades

• Manages, plans and leads the financial accounting functions to support organisational goals.
• Provides expert accounting services and advice to WA Country Health Service stakeholders.
• Prepares and disseminates timely, accurate financial performance reports.
• Maintains WA Country Health Service financial systems and controls.
