Job summary

Southern Cross Care WA is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at the Central Office in Rivervale on a permanent full-time basis with the option to work from home 2 days per week. You will lead financial reporting and compliance across the organisation and its related entities, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external auditors.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) and accounting degree.
• 3–5 years' experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Experience in preparing general purpose financial statements.
• Experience with GST, BAS, FBT and other regulatory reporting obligations.
• Treasury management experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual financial statements and statutory reporting for Southern Cross Care WA and related entities.
• Coordinate external audits and provide audit data and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end processes including reconciliations and journal reviews.
• Ensure compliance with taxation obligations (GST, BAS, FBT).
• Manage treasury, banking and investment activities.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and GL integrity.
• Assist with funding, grant reporting and other financial obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting.
