Job summary

NAB in Melbourne seeks a Head of Finance Partnering for Business Lending within Business and Private Banking. You will translate strategy into a clear plan and guide the BL leadership to deliver initiatives within strategic parameters.

You will partner with the CFO to grow the business, drive transformation and ensure sustainable benefits. You will lead a diverse team and deliver standard reporting and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Experience solving complex problems at strategy consultancies, in-house strategy teams or investment banks.
• Ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written communication for board level presentations and reports.
• Proficiency in developing financial models and strategic frameworks.
• Experience across partnering with divisions, corporate planning and financial control.
• Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally CA/CPA.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Business Lending strategy into an effective plan and direct BL leadership to deliver initiatives.
• Partner with the CFO to grow the business while achieving transformation benefits.
• Identify financial and non-financial trends and recommend performance improvements.
• Ensure standard reporting and financial controls are delivered consistently across Finance.
• Collaborate with peers to lift Finance partner team effectiveness.
• Lead, coach and develop a diverse team with a feedback culture and clear follow-up.
