Job summary

Warakirri College invites an exceptional educational leader to join the Executive Team as Head of Distance Education, overseeing a NSW-based program that supports students facing barriers to traditional schooling. You will lead a dedicated team, drive innovation, and ensure high engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes.

The role requires a minimum two years in a leadership position and five years in teaching or student welfare, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practices and community

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a leadership role guiding diverse educational teams.
• Minimum five years' experience in a teaching or student welfare role.
• Understands trauma-informed and student-centred educational practice.
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people.
• Can build strong relationships with students, staff, families and stakeholders.
• Embraces innovation and technology-enabled learning.
• Thinks strategically while remaining connected to day-to-day operations.
• Demonstrates sound judgement, resilience and strong people leadership skills.
• Is able to develop strong community partnerships.
• Experience in special assistance, alternative, flexible, inclusive or distance education settings will be highly regarded.
