Job summary

MILSPEC Energy Solutions Pty Ltd in Brisbane's North Lakes is seeking an experienced General Manager – Design & Engineering to lead the development and delivery of engineering capabilities, reporting to the Managing Director, and aligning design with commercial outcomes.

You will shape strategy, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee tender input, design management and project execution across Australia’s energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Leadership of engineering design teams across transmission, distribution, substations and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to balance technical and financial outcomes.
• Experience guiding multi-disciplinary engineering and design across complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of MILSPEC's Design and Engineering function.
• Develop engineering strategies, systems, and processes to drive growth.
• Lead engineering personnel, consultants and external design partners.
