MILSPEC Energy Solutions Pty Ltd is completing a high‑impact General Manager – Design & Engineering role at our North Lakes, Brisbane office. Lead the strategic direction for design and engineering, oversee internal and external resources, and ensure delivery of major energy infrastructure projects across Australia.

The role requires a strong blend of technical engineering expertise, project leadership and commercial acumen to drive growth and excellence in a growing Australian contractor.

Qualifications

• Advanced leadership of design and engineering teams across large energy infrastructure.
• Strong technical background in electrical transmission, distribution, substations and renewables.
• Proven ability to translate technical work into commercial outcomes and tenders.

Responsibilities

• Lead MILSPEC's Design and Engineering function and set strategic direction.
• Oversee concept to detailed design, construction support and project completion.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet Australian standards and client requirements.
• Manage resources, budgets and programmes for multiple projects.
• Provide technical direction and governance across concurrent projects.
• Drive business development and client engagement for new opportunities.
