Job summary

Karbon is hiring a Data & Analytics Manager to grow a high-performing team in Sydney, overseeing a multi-cloud data platform and analytics stack. You will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to plan sprints, deliver initiatives, and balance new work with maintenance and technical debt.

The role emphasizes autonomy, accountability, and craftsmanship, with a focus on data integrity at scale and the use of AI-assisted tooling to enhance productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading analytics/engineering teams.
• Strong experience with data platforms and modern ELT tools.
• Degree in CS or equivalent; distributed systems expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing Data & Analytics team.
• Partner with Product/Design to translate goals into a plan and guide Scrum delivery.
• Improve platform stability, data quality, and engineering practices.
• Drive AI-assisted tooling adoption to boost productivity and code quality.
• Build on-call/operational readiness and incident response practices.
