Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced cyber security leader to drive offensive security programs and threat-informed testing. You will lead a team of specialists in penetration testing and cyber attack simulation, ensuring activities are delivered safely and in line with enterprise security requirements.

You will partner with vendors, measure program effectiveness with KPIs, and elevate cyber maturity across the organisation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced cyber security leader with expertise in offensive security and penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, audit and risk management requirements.
• Proven ability to lead security teams in complex or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Refine testing approaches, optimise tools and strengthen security posture while reducing cyber risk.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality outcomes, timeliness and value while fostering partnerships.
• Define and track metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and cyber maturity uplift.
• Lead and develop a high-performing cyber offensive capability, managing a team of specialists.
