Job summary

One Investment Group (OIG) in Sydney is seeking an experienced Head of Custody to lead the custody services function across all schemes and clients. You will report to the Head of Corporate Trustee Services and oversee custodians, title perfection, and cash operations while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires deep custody expertise, over a decade in financial services, strong leadership, and capability to transform processes within a fast-growing wealth infrastructure platform.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Financial Services or equivalent.
• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years’ financial services experience including custody/trustee or funds operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team of similar size.
• Deep technical knowledge of custody operations, asset safekeeping and title registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day custody services across all schemes and clients.
• Oversee Custodian services for Trustees and responsible entities, with proper client instructions.
• Own framework for asset safekeeping, segregation, title perfection and custody documentation.
• Manage custody banking, cash operations and payments processing.
• Oversee execution of legal documents within custody remit.
• Own custody compliance and assurance activities, including audits.
• Oversee global custody arrangements with partner banks.
• Maintain a robust custody risk and control framework.
• Build and lead a high-performing custody team (~4).
• Manage budget and resources within Corporate Trustee Services.
