Coal Services Pty Limited in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to establish and oversee the organisation’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, standards and internal policies.

This role will work closely with the Executive team and regulators to promote a culture of integrity, accountability and ethical conduct while managing risk and reporting to the Board on regulatory obligations and strategic compliance priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles.
• Experience engaging regulators and managing audits.
• Experience in insurance and workers' compensation compliance and auditing.
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Risk or Business.
• Senior leadership experience in a compliance function.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement the organisation’s compliance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Define compliance responsibilities across operations and corporate functions.
• Establish policies, controls, and standards across coal-services operations.
• Lead and embed a strong compliance and ethical culture.
• Provide expert advice to Executive Leadership and the Board on regulatory obligations.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
• Maintain the compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
• Manage breaches and participate in investigations.
• Promote awareness of compliance obligations and ethical standards.
• Drive continuous improvements in systems and processes.
• Implement best practice governance standards.
