Job summary

SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) is seeking a Senior BI Leader to head the Business Intelligence Unit at SAAS Metro Headquarters in Adelaide. The role focuses on delivering meaningful data insights to support ambulance operations, performance reporting and strategic planning.

You will lead a team of analysts, oversee dashboards and reporting frameworks, and partner with executives to translate complex data into actionable intelligence, while driving data governance and ensuring data integrity across

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a BI/analytics or reporting function within a large organisation.
• Strong proficiency with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent).
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in health, emergency services, or regulated government environments is valued.
• Demonstrated data governance, data modelling and performance reporting capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Intelligence Unit delivering data insights for ambulance operations, performance reporting and strategic planning.
• Manage and develop a team of analysts delivering BI outputs across SAAS.
• Oversee design, maintenance and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and dashboards.
