Job summary

The Scots College in NSW seeks a Head of Army Cadets to lead and advance the Cadet Unit across campuses, ensuring safety and development of students and staff in line with the College’s Vision, Mission and Values.

The role focuses on leadership, training, and program delivery, integrating with co-curricular activities and aligning with AAC standards, while upholding Christian faith and values in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• Current or willing membership of the Australian Army Cadets (AAC).
• Commissioned Officer within the AAC or willingness to obtain commission.
• Current NSW Teacher Accreditation or related field background as listed.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model the Vision and Values of The Scots College within all aspects of the Cadet Unit.
• Ensure the ethos of the Cadet Unit supports the College’s Christian foundation and contributes to spiritual and moral formation.
• Foster a climate of respect, care, and service within the Cadet community, modelling the College’s values of truth, honour, loyalty, and commitment.
• Encourage the development of leadership, teamwork, and resilience among all cadets.
• Ensure the Cadet Unit plays an active role in College and community life, including participation in ANZAC and Remembrance Day ceremonies and other civic events.
