Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service – Broken Hill is seeking a strategic Head of Airworthiness to ensure the continuing airworthiness of the RFDSSE fleet and act as Responsible Manager. You will lead a team of airworthiness professionals, ensuring safety, compliance and mission readiness.

You will oversee airworthiness systems, maintenance programs and manuals, while partnering with cross-functional leaders to meet organisational goals.

Qualifications

• Approved HAAMC/AM, or Approved Continuing Airworthiness Manager; or Responsible Manager.
• Hold or previously held aircraft engineer licence (B1 or B2).
• Extensive knowledge of CASA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Experience with Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management systems and expositions.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFDSSE's airworthiness function ensuring fleet airworthiness and CASA compliance.
• Oversee continuing airworthiness systems and maintenance programs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing safety-conscious team.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to achieve organisational objectives.
• Manage departmental budgets, reporting and resource planning.
• Represent RFDSSE with CASA and industry partners.
