Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) seeks a strategic Head of Airworthiness to ensure ongoing airworthiness of the fleet and compliance with CASA regulations. You will lead a team of airworthiness professionals, aligning safety, reliability and regulatory requirements with operational needs.

You will bring extensive airworthiness knowledge, leadership experience, and a collaborative style to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional partnerships across RFDSSE’s

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of CASA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Experience with Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management systems and expositions.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs and reliability systems.
• Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFDSSE's airworthiness function, ensuring fleet airworthiness and CASA compliance.
• Oversee continuing airworthiness systems, maintenance programs and manuals.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with a strong safety culture.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver objectives and drive improvements.
• Manage departmental budgets, reporting and resource planning.
• Represent RFDSSE with CASA and key aviation partners.
