The Victoria Hotel in Marion, SA, part of ALH Hotels, is seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen and deliver pub classics with elevated plates that locals love.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks (lifting, moving stock, kegs).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, safe, and profitable service.
• Collaborate closely with Publican and FOH team to maintain high standards.
• Mentor and develop kitchen staff to build a high-performing team.
• Maintain strong communication between kitchen and front-of-house for great food and vibes per shift.

We're searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Victoria Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can't get enough of.

The Victoria Hotel has been the heart and soul of Friday nights in Southern Adelaide for many years, however The Vic has much more to offer. Our guests can enjoy meals to suit every taste and occasion whilst dining in relaxed, comfortable surroundings. We're famous for our steaks!

Guests can entertain friends or business partners in one of the many function areas of the hotel or enjoy a quiet beverage from our wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. With an ambient, private gaming lounge, family friendly Steakhouse, a great value BWS bottle shop and attentive staff, The Vic truly is the place to be on any day of the week.

Salary: From $85,000 + superannuation + bonus

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

• You've got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
