Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Head Chef for Tingira Hills Care Community in Mount Hutton. Lead a passionate hospitality team to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals in a compliant aged care environment.

As Head Chef, you will design seasonal menus, manage budgets and stock, and uphold food safety standards while providing residents with memorable dining experiences. Mon-Fri roster; salary package plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Chef in a leadership role.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• A passion for culinary excellence and a desire to make a difference in aged care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire our kitchen team to deliver nutritious and delicious meals daily.
• Design creative, seasonal menus that cater to residents’ diverse needs and preferences.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, and ordering efficiently.
